1. What This Policy Covers
This Refund & Return Policy applies to purchases made from Brie Corp, doing business as Brie ("Brie," "we," "us," or "our"), including wholesale merchandise, mixed-brand lots, single-brand lots, and curated mystery boxes.
All merchandise is preowned unless expressly stated otherwise in the applicable product listing.
Because our merchandise consists of individually sourced preowned goods sold in curated assortments, our return and claim procedures differ from those of retailers selling new, individually selected merchandise.
Purchases are also governed by our Terms of Service and applicable product descriptions.
Where policies address the same subject, they should be interpreted consistently. Specific product promises and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain applicable regardless of any general disclaimer.
2. Merchandise Condition and Quality Standards
Brie sells preowned merchandise that may have been previously worn, owned, handled, stored, or otherwise used.
Preowned merchandise should not be expected to have the same appearance or characteristics as newly manufactured retail merchandise.
We inspect merchandise using internal quality-control procedures intended to identify significant condition issues, including stains, holes, tears, damaged seams, excessive pilling, fading, stretching, odors, missing or damaged hardware, zipper problems, button damage, and other visible defects.
Our inspection process is designed to identify merchandise suitable for resale or personal use within the standards of the applicable product category.
However, preowned merchandise naturally varies in age, condition, fabric composition, construction, and prior use.
Minor Wear Allowance
Up to 10% of the pieces in an order may exhibit minor cosmetic wear consistent with ordinary preowned merchandise.
Examples may include light pilling, minor fading, small signs of laundering, or other subtle cosmetic characteristics that do not materially impair the item's ordinary use.
This allowance does not authorize the inclusion of counterfeit merchandise, materially misdescribed goods, undisclosed significant damage, or items that substantially fail the advertised condition standards.
Minor cosmetic wear consistent with this disclosure is not, by itself, grounds for a refund or return.
Condition concerns exceeding the disclosed standards may be submitted for review under Section 4.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Brie does not guarantee that merchandise is new, unworn, flawless, or suitable for any particular resale platform, selling price, or end customer.
3. Inspection and Claim Reporting Windows
Customers should open, count, and inspect their orders promptly upon delivery.
We request that issues involving shortages, incorrect merchandise, significant undisclosed damage, or other fulfillment concerns be reported within the following periods:
Wholesale Orders: Within 3 business days of delivery.
Curated Mystery Boxes: Within 5 business days of delivery.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding applicable public holidays.
The reporting period begins on the delivery date reflected in the carrier's tracking records or other reliable delivery confirmation.
Claims submitted within the applicable reporting window will be reviewed in accordance with this policy.
Claims submitted after the reporting window may be declined where legally permitted, particularly when the delay prevents reasonable verification of the merchandise's condition or fulfillment.
These reporting periods do not eliminate rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be restricted, including applicable protections for counterfeit, materially misdescribed, or otherwise nonconforming merchandise.
Customers are encouraged to retain the original packaging and preserve the merchandise in its received condition while an issue is being reviewed.
4. How to Submit a Claim
To report an issue, email support@brie.co with your order number and a description of the concern.
Please include, where applicable:
-
Your order number and contact information.
-
A clear explanation of the issue.
-
The number of pieces affected and the total number received.
-
Clear photographs showing the affected merchandise and the issue being reported.
-
Photographs of the full assortment when reporting a shortage or widespread condition concern.
-
Photographs or identifying numbers from any Brie barcode or inventory tags still attached to the merchandise.
-
Relevant packaging photographs for shipping-related concerns.
-
Supporting information for any authenticity concern.
We may request additional reasonable information to investigate the claim, verify the affected merchandise, or determine an appropriate resolution.
If a customer reports an issue within the applicable reporting window but cannot immediately provide every requested photograph or document, we may allow a reasonable opportunity to supplement the claim.
We reserve the right to review the available evidence, relevant order records, fulfillment documentation, and any additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate the issue.
We aim to respond to submitted claims within 5 business days. Complex claims, including authenticity investigations and carrier disputes, may require additional time.
Submitting a claim does not automatically establish that merchandise is defective or that a refund is owed.
5. Wholesale Assortments and Brand Classification
Wholesale merchandise is sold according to the product category, quantity, condition standards, and assortment description presented at the time of purchase.
Representative Brands
Brand names displayed on our website are illustrative examples of labels that may appear in a particular wholesale assortment.
Unless a product listing expressly guarantees a particular brand, featured brand lists are not exhaustive and do not promise the inclusion of any specific label.
Brie works with a broad and changing assortment of established, contemporary, designer, emerging, private-label, vintage, and lesser-known brands.
A wholesale assortment may contain brands that are not individually named in its product description, provided the selected merchandise reasonably fits the advertised category.
Individual Garment Classification
Brie retains reasonable discretion to classify individual garments according to their characteristics and estimated secondhand resale potential rather than relying exclusively on brand names.
Classification factors may include:
-
Brand positioning and recognition.
-
Garment type and construction.
-
Materials and craftsmanship.
-
Style, silhouette, and design.
-
Collection or product line.
-
Condition and age.
-
Market demand and comparable resale activity.
-
Estimated resale potential.
-
Overall suitability for the advertised assortment.
A brand may appear in more than one wholesale category when individual garments reasonably qualify for different classifications.
For example, a distinctive Zara coat, premium outerwear piece, or particularly desirable garment may qualify for a higher-tier fashion assortment, even when ordinary Zara basics would typically be placed in a lower-tier mix.
Similarly, a basic or less desirable garment from a traditionally premium brand may be assigned to a lower category.
Category Expectations
Wholesale categories are intended to provide a consistent general level of merchandise positioning, aesthetic, and estimated resale potential.
They are not guarantees that every garment will have an identical resale value, original retail price, brand recognition, or market demand.
An unexpected brand, by itself, does not mean that an assortment is incorrect or eligible for a refund.
However, merchandise must reasonably conform to the purchased category and any express specifications disclosed on the product page.
Brie will not treat its classification discretion as permission to substitute merchandise that substantially fails the advertised assortment description.
Claims involving materially incorrect assortments may be submitted under this policy.
Assortment Variability
Unless expressly stated otherwise, wholesale lots do not guarantee:
-
Particular brands or individual garments.
-
A specific number of pieces from any featured brand.
-
A particular combination of styles, colors, or sizes.
-
A fixed ratio of garment types.
-
Specific collections, seasons, or production years.
-
A minimum original retail value.
-
A guaranteed resale value or profit margin.
-
A particular sell-through rate or selling timeframe.
Where a product listing expressly specifies a brand, quantity, garment type, size range, condition standard, or other material requirement, that specification remains part of the purchase.
6. Resale Values and Profit Expectations
Wholesale merchandise is offered for buyers who may intend to resell it.
However, Brie does not guarantee the financial performance of any merchandise purchased.
Any suggested resale ranges, original retail prices, estimated market values, pricing comparisons, or illustrative earnings are provided for general informational purposes only.
Such information may reflect estimates or market observations and may not represent completed sales or the price a particular buyer can achieve.
Actual resale results depend on numerous factors, including:
-
Product condition and desirability.
-
Brand and style demand.
-
Size and seasonality.
-
Selling platform and audience.
-
Listing quality and pricing.
-
Shipping expenses and marketplace fees.
-
Returns, discounts, and promotions.
-
Market conditions and competition.
-
Time required to sell an item.
Buyers are responsible for evaluating their own resale markets and determining whether merchandise is suitable for their intended business purposes.
Dissatisfaction with resale prices, sales velocity, profit margins, or sell-through results is not, by itself, grounds for a refund or return.
This provision does not excuse materially misdescribed merchandise or failure to meet express product specifications.
7. Curated Mystery Boxes and Personalization Preferences
Curated mystery boxes are assembled using the clothing sizes selected by the customer and any additional preferences submitted before fulfillment.
Customers must select at least one clothing size when placing an order.
Additional styling preferences and garment exclusions are optional.
We make reasonable efforts to honor submitted preferences, including garment types, fit preferences, style direction, and requested exclusions.
However, mystery boxes contain variable preowned merchandise, and specific brands, individual garments, colors, and styles are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.
Sizing
We generally classify garments according to their labeled sizes.
Sizing conventions vary across brands, manufacturers, countries, and production years. Brie does not guarantee that every labeled size will fit every individual in the same way.
Where a customer selects multiple sizes, merchandise may be selected from any of the submitted sizes.
We will not intentionally substitute materially different sizes outside the selected range without an applicable disclosed substitution policy or customer agreement.
Preferences and Exclusions
Submitted preferences help guide curation but do not guarantee that every preference can be accommodated in every order.
Brie will make reasonable efforts to honor stated exclusions. Where an order cannot reasonably be fulfilled in accordance with its material specifications, we may contact the customer to discuss available alternatives or arrange an appropriate resolution.
A customer's dislike of an otherwise conforming garment, color, or style is not, by itself, grounds for a refund.
However, materially incorrect sizing or a substantial failure to honor expressly agreed product requirements may be reviewed as a fulfillment concern.
Preferences and changes must be submitted before fulfillment begins. We cannot guarantee that changes received after an order has entered processing can be accommodated.
8. Authenticity Concerns
Brie takes reasonable measures to assess the authenticity of merchandise.
These measures may include reviewing labels, identifying details, construction, materials, product characteristics, and other relevant indicators.
Additional authentication review may be performed when appropriate.
However, authentication procedures vary by item, and not every piece undergoes formal or independent third-party authentication.
Unless expressly stated in a product listing, Brie does not provide certificates of authenticity or represent that every item has been independently authenticated.
Brie does not knowingly sell counterfeit merchandise.
If a customer believes an item may be counterfeit, the customer should contact support@brie.co with the order number, photographs, and any relevant supporting information.
We will review credible authenticity concerns and may request additional documentation, photographs, or independent verification where appropriate.
An authenticity concern is not automatically established solely because a customer questions an item's appearance or labeling.
Where merchandise is determined to be counterfeit, Brie will provide an appropriate remedy consistent with applicable law.
Nothing in this policy excludes legally required remedies for counterfeit merchandise.
9. Returns, Refunds, and Available Remedies
Because our merchandise consists of preowned goods sold in curated assortments, we generally do not accept discretionary returns for buyer's remorse, personal preference, or changes in business plans.
Where an order is materially incorrect, contains a verified shortage, includes merchandise that substantially fails the disclosed condition standards, or otherwise qualifies for a remedy, Brie will review the circumstances and determine an appropriate resolution consistent with applicable law.
Depending on the issue, available resolutions may include:
-
Replacement of affected merchandise.
-
Shipment of missing pieces.
-
A partial refund.
-
A full refund where appropriate.
-
Store credit where accepted or otherwise legally permitted.
-
An authorized return of affected merchandise.
-
An authorized return of the complete order.
-
Another mutually agreed resolution.
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and extent of the issue, available inventory, applicable product terms, and legal requirements.
Brie may offer replacements or store credit as alternatives, but nothing in this policy requires customers to accept those alternatives where a monetary refund or another remedy is legally required.
Courtesy Returns
Brie may, at its discretion, authorize a return that is not otherwise required under this policy.
Where disclosed and legally permitted, courtesy returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee, nonrefundable original shipping charges, and customer-paid return shipping.
Courtesy returns must be authorized in advance.
Merchandise must be returned in substantially the same condition in which it was received, without additional wear, washing, alteration, or damage.
10. Return Shipping and Return Authorization
Customers must contact Brie and obtain return authorization before shipping merchandise back.
Unauthorized returns may be refused where legally permitted.
When a return is authorized, we will provide instructions regarding the merchandise to be returned, the return address, and any applicable shipping requirements.
For discretionary or courtesy returns, customers are generally responsible for return shipping unless otherwise agreed.
Where a return results from a confirmed material fulfillment error, counterfeit item, or other issue for which Brie is legally responsible, reasonable return-shipping costs will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
Customers should use trackable shipping when returning merchandise and retain proof of shipment.
Brie is not responsible for unauthorized returns sent to an incorrect address or otherwise handled contrary to reasonable return instructions, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
11. Shortages, Incorrect Orders, and Shipping Problems
Missing Pieces
The number of pieces expressly stated in a product listing is guaranteed unless the listing clearly discloses a different counting method.
If an order contains fewer pieces than purchased, the customer should report the shortage within the applicable reporting window.
We may request photographs, packaging information, and other reasonable documentation to investigate.
Verified shortages will be resolved through shipment of missing merchandise, an appropriate refund, or another lawful resolution.
Incorrect Orders or Assortments
If a customer receives the wrong product, incorrect lot, materially incorrect quantity, or merchandise that substantially fails the purchased category description, the customer should contact us promptly.
We will investigate the issue and arrange an appropriate resolution.
An assortment is not considered incorrect solely because it contains a brand that was not featured in the product listing, provided the merchandise reasonably conforms to the purchased category and express specifications.
Shipping Damage
Customers should promptly report packages that arrive visibly damaged and retain photographs of the outer packaging, shipping label, and affected merchandise.
We may work with the carrier to investigate damage or pursue a shipping claim.
Responsibility for shipping damage and risk of loss will be determined by the applicable transaction terms and governing law.
Lost or Missing Deliveries
If tracking indicates that a package was delivered but the customer cannot locate it, the customer should contact Brie and the carrier promptly.
We may review tracking records, delivery confirmation, carrier documentation, and other available evidence.
A carrier's delivered status is relevant evidence but does not automatically eliminate any legal obligation that may apply to a particular transaction.
For commercial wholesale orders, risk-of-loss provisions in the Terms of Service may apply to the extent permitted by law.
12. Order Cancellations
Orders are generally final once placed.
Brie begins processing orders according to its fulfillment schedule, and orders may be assembled or prepared for shipment shortly after purchase.
We do not guarantee that cancellation requests can be accommodated.
If a customer wishes to request cancellation, they should email support@brie.co as soon as possible with the order number.
We may approve or decline a voluntary cancellation request depending on the order's processing status and other relevant circumstances, subject to applicable law.
If a cancellation is approved, we will communicate the applicable refund or credit arrangements.
Once an order has shipped, it generally cannot be canceled through our standard cancellation process. Applicable return, refund, and legal rights remain available.
Nothing in this section limits cancellation rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Refund Processing and Payment Disputes
Refund Processing
Approved monetary refunds are generally issued to the original payment method.
We aim to initiate approved refunds within 7 business days after the applicable resolution has been finalized, unless a shorter period is required by law.
The time required for the refund to appear in a customer's account depends on the payment provider and financial institution.
We generally cannot issue refunds to unrelated payment accounts or different payment cards.
Where store credit is offered and accepted, its terms, including any expiration or usage restrictions, will be disclosed in accordance with applicable law.
Original shipping charges are refunded where required by law or as part of an approved resolution.
Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
If a customer believes there is a problem with an order, we encourage them to contact Brie before initiating a payment dispute so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter directly.
We maintain transaction records, order details, fulfillment documentation, shipping information, customer communications, and other relevant information that may be submitted to payment processors, financial institutions, or dispute-resolution providers when responding to claims.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected fraudulent transactions, unauthorized activity, or abusive purchasing behavior and to decline future transactions where legally permitted.
Nothing in this policy restricts a customer's rights to initiate a lawful payment dispute or chargeback under applicable law or payment-network rules.
14. Additional Terms and Contact Information
Preservation of Merchandise
Customers reporting a problem should make reasonable efforts to preserve the affected merchandise and any relevant packaging while the issue is being reviewed.
Reselling, discarding, altering, laundering, or mixing affected merchandise with other inventory may make a claim more difficult to verify and may affect the remedies available where legally permitted.
These circumstances do not automatically eliminate rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Policy Changes
Brie may update this Refund & Return Policy from time to time.
Updates will be reflected by the Last Updated date above.
The version applicable at the time of purchase generally governs that order, subject to applicable law and any subsequently agreed changes.
Applicable Law
This policy is subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
